Hobart, Richmond & Port Arthur Private Tour
History, Nature & Local Flavors. Tasmania crams a wealth of tempting destinations into a compact landmass. This tour takes you from the historic streets of Hobart to the rugged beauty of the Tasman Peninsula.
1. Hobart City & Mt Wellington
We start with a city orientation of Hobart, including Battery Point and Salamanca Place. If weather permits, we drive to the summit of Mount Wellington for spectacular panoramic views over the city and Derwent River.
2. Historic Richmond
We visit the charming village of Richmond, home to Australia's oldest bridge (1823) and oldest Catholic church. Stroll through the Georgian-style streets and perhaps visit the local lolly shop or bakery.
3. Tasman Peninsula & Nature
Explore the rugged coastline of the Tasman Peninsula. We stop at Pirates Bay Lookout, Tasman Arch, and the Devil's Kitchen to admire the towering sea cliffs and rock formations.
4. Port Arthur Historic Site
The highlight of the day is the World Heritage-listed Port Arthur Historic Site. Explore the ruins of the penal settlement, take a harbor cruise (included in entry), and learn about Australia's convict history.
