Peaks, Plantations & Pristine Beaches. The Glass House Mountains are a group of thirteen hills that rise abruptly from the coastal plain on the Sunshine Coast. Named by Captain Cook in 1770, these ancient volcanic plugs offer spectacular scenery and walking tracks.

  • Sunshine Coast Hinterland: Drive through the region and see the famous Pineapple Plantations.
  • Bribie Island & Coast: Visit the beautiful Butterfly House or relax on the sandy shores of Woorim Beach.

Your Proposed Itinerary (10 Hours):

08:00 AMPickup from your Gold Coast or Brisbane hotel. Enjoy a comfortable drive north towards the Sunshine Coast.
09:30 AMGlass House Lookouts: Arrive in the hinterland. Visit the main lookout for sweeping views of the thirteen volcanic peaks.
10:30 AMMt Ngungun Hike: Embark on a rewarding hike to the summit. (Suitable for active families. Appropriate footwear required).
12:30 PMPineapple Plantations & Lunch: Drive through the agricultural heartland, stopping at local farm stands before enjoying lunch (at own expense).
02:30 PMBribie Island: Head back towards the coast. Cross the bridge to Bribie Island.
03:00 PMButterfly House & Beach: Choose to visit the vibrant Bribie Island Butterfly House or relax and dip your toes in the ocean at Woorim Beach.
06:00 PMArrive back at your hotel.

Attraction & Upgrade Information

The following are optional extras and are not included in the base vehicle price:

  • Note on Hiking: The Mt Ngungun walking track requires a moderate level of fitness and suitable enclosed walking shoes.
