Every cruise and place below says which fireworks you will see: 9 pm, midnight or both. At 9:15 pm the parade of lights sails through the harbour, and boats with assigned spots inside the exclusion zone get the closest views of the Bridge and the Opera House.

The boats in the parade of lights and with assigned spots inside the exclusion zone (shaded on the map) are closest to the Harbour Bridge and the Opera House: from them you see the fireworks best. Mrs Macquaries Point, the Botanic Garden lawns, Barangaroo Reserve and other foreshore parks are free, first come, first served, and usually fill up by mid-morning. Free Opera House forecourt tickets are released online on 26 December.

Prices are per person in Australian dollars and include our booking service. We book New Year's Eve only together with one of our tours, and only while places are left: availability changes every day, and Andrew confirms the place and the price before payment. Each operator's own terms apply; some New Year's Eve tickets cannot be refunded, and we tell you before you book.
