Your Proposed Itinerary (10 Hours):

08:00 AMPickup from your Hobart hotel. Head north-west into the Derwent Valley.
09:30 AMMount Field National Park: Arrive at the park. Enjoy the tranquil walk to Russell Falls and the towering forest of the Tall Trees Walk.
11:00 AMWilderness Drive: Leave the tall timber behind and drive into the rugged and remote Southwest National Park. Stop for breathtaking photo opportunities.
12:30 PMGordon Dam: Arrive at the spectacular engineering marvel. Walk across the dizzying 140-meter high dam wall and take in the sheer scale of the gorge.
01:30 PMLunch Break: Enjoy lunch at a local wilderness lodge or a packed picnic in the stunning surroundings (at own expense).
03:30 PMDerwent Valley Flavours: On the return journey, opt to stop at the historic Salmon Ponds or a seasonal berry farm for a quick taste of local produce.
